“Guy supported me post pregnancy to help me get back in touch with my body and return to group training at Bristol Co-operative Gym. I was feeling unconfident about what my body was capable of after pregnancy but through our sessions this changed and I even started to get stronger again. We started off slow which was what I needed and Guy’s attention to what worked for me or what didn’t was really thoughtful so I always felt well supported and listened to. If I didn’t get on with a particular exercise, we tried something else and I was able to go much further than I thought I could. I felt in safe hands with Guy. I knew he’d done a lot of research and is part of a group who work with post-pregnant bodies and that really came through in his approach. He’s very easy going and friendly and totally committed to ensuring we were working towards my goals. I also felt relaxed because he’s a feminist and is very respectful and thoughtful of boundaries to do with bodies and body image. None of the work I was doing was encouraged from an aesthetic and body shaming point of view but from following my lead in what I wanted to achieve and a passion for the fascinating bodies that we have! I really recommend working with Guy!”
