“Before starting training, I had several worries. I had a number of recurring injuries and feared strength training would aggravate them. I also worried the atmosphere would be unwelcoming or macho or would be full of people who had been training for a long time.

However, both in personal training and in his gym classes, Guy created a judgement-free atmosphere where I felt welcomed. In the personal training he spent time asking me what I wanted to achieve and then helped me identify what to work on. He was always enthusiastic about my goals and encouraged my interest and questions.

When I started training my goals were to build strength and to develop fitness that I could use in other sports. I did some personal training sessions as well because I wanted a specific workout that would improve specific lifts and to prevent recurring injuries.

The personal training made an immediate difference and I doubled my deadlift personal best within a week as well as improving my bench technique. He worked out a routine that I can do regularly that is tailored to me and will help me with my sporting and life goals. As a result of my training I have noticed a big improvement in my running times and feel safer and stronger when playing sports and in my everyday life.”
